Hens and chicks
I received a bunch of unrooted hens and chicks for my garden. Is there a time limit I have to plant them? Should I be doing anything special to acclimate them prior to planting them?

First, so sorry for the late answer - just now found your question. Hens and Chicks are succulents and easy to grow. Just poke the base of the plant in moist soil with really good drainage and new roots will form. Keep the unrooted starts in the shade and mist occasionally until you have time to plant.
