How to Grow Basil and Mint

Hi,
My basil and mint herbs have both flowered. Does flowering ruin the flavor of the whole plant for the season?

When herbs begin to flower you should snip off the top growth of blooms and buds because it could make the foliage less flavorful as the herbs put energy into flower production. Basil likes lots of sun and soil on the dry side. Mint will thrive in the shade and prefers soil on the moist side. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
