Hibiscus
What do I do to wake up the hibiscus plants that I put out last year? Everything else in my yard is coming back to life, but the hibiscus plants still look like sticks.

Sunshine and warm soil is what tropical plants like hibiscus need to wake up and push out the new growth. Some plants just take awhile. Growing your tropical plants in the warmest and most protected part of the garden could help. My own hardy hibiscus Rose of Sharon shrub is just now leafing out - always the last to arrive at the party. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
