Hibiscus

I have 2 beautiful hibiscus plants in pots. I would like to plant them. Do I need to wait until the flowers are done blooming
I live in sw Pennsylvania the area I want to plant in gets afternoon sun what are your recomendations

If your shrubs are in pots now, you can transplant them into the ground even if they are in full bloom. Just water well the night before and keep the soil moist after the transplant operation. Don't give up if your Rose of Sharon does not sprout new leaves right away in the spring. These shrubs are very slow to leaf out in the spring and wait for warm weather. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
