How do I keep hanging baskets beautiful all summer

I bought beautiful hanging baskets that like sun. I water them daily. They get about 6+ hours of sun daily. I did fertilize, but maybe not as accurately as I should have. How
Do I revive them and keep them beautiful into the early fall?

My thought is that you need to dead head or remove the faded blossoms more often and feel the soil before you water. The yellowing bottom leaves I see in the photo could be an indication of too much water. I assume they have good drainage and you see the water drip out of the drainage holes quickly after you water. Another tip is to keep your plant food such as Miracle Grow in the powdered form next to your watering can and add just a pinch of fertilizer every time you water. Hanging baskets need a lot of fertilizer but too much at one time is not good. One way to revitalize summer annuals is to snip them back to half their size in mid summer, water, feed and see if the severe pruning kick starts them into new growth. I just made a You Tube video showing how I care for my hanging baskets so you can find it in the Planters Place library. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
