How Much Fertilizer Is Needed for Bamboo in a 90 Gallon Pot?

Hi,
I am growing bamboo on my terrace in 90-gallon planters. Do I use 45 scoops of Osmocote (flower & vegetable 14-14-14)? The containers are tall at 30″x30″(pic). Thank you!

No, I suggest you use less than 45 scoops. Bamboo is not a heavy feeder and does not need much fertilizer. Use quality potting soil, add a gallon or so of compost, and just work one bottle of Osmocote (2 lb or 907 grams)  into the top inch of soil, using enough to scatter it thinly on top of the soil surface, then scratch it into the top layer of soil. I promise the bamboo will grow fast with just 2 lbs.  of Osmocote for each container. The biggest complaint about bamboo is that it grows too fast, so watch out. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
