How to fix brittle green leaves on young rose?
I purchased a hibiscus few months ago. It is in a good size pot with drainage. Noticed over the last two weeks the leaves are brittle like potato chips, still green. I don’t see any new growth on top. Don’t see any disease on leaves or little trunk. Not sure if I’m overwatering or underwatering. Need some help.

My guess when I hear brittle leaves is transplant shock from a recent move. Perhaps the plant dried out a bit after the transplant and the dry leaves on the tips would be the hibiscus conserving moisture by not watering the new growth to save the body of the plant. I suggest you clip off the brittle leaves and then you will see fresh new growth if you keep the soil moist. This tropical plant does not like to dry out. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
