Oh boy - now that is a sad hydrangea. Looks like stress from dry soil and sun or even fertilizer burn if you tried to fertilize during the summer months. Still don't prune this hydrangea. Just water water water. I have seen worse come back in the spring so there is hope. A mulch on the soil should help. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
