Mystery plant: Bishop’s weed
I have a container of Aegopodium podagraria (Snow on the Mountain). It has upright foliage that went bare for winter, but came back this spring. My neighbor has a large area of ground cover that looks similar, but leaves seem sturdier and are on runners. It also has upright white flowers and he says it is evergreen. Is it the same plant? I can email pictures if needed.

Yes, sounds like a different variety but both are known as Bishop's weed and can be very invasive. This plant also acts differently depending on how much sun and does best in dry shade so that it won't take over the entire yard. I do not think this groundcover is evergreen in any form, but it does come in solid green and also in a variety with white in the foliage. I would keep yours in a container so it won't grow out of control. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
