Using fallen chopped leaves as mulch
Is it good to put last fall’s chopped leaves around my vegetables? I live in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Thanks, Rick

Yes, in general using a mulch of old leave is excellent for vegetables and flowers, unless the leaves are damp and full of slugs or snails, or the foliage from Black Walnut trees which are toxic to most plants. Mowing over the fallen leave to chop them even finer is another way to pamper the plants and improve the soil.
Keep growing,
