Succulents will go dormant in the winter when days are shorter. This is when I give my indoor succulents no water at all. In March I may give them a few tablespoons of water. Then in May they begin to perk up with more sunlight. Could it be your sad succulents are just  going through the winter doldrums? Perhaps if you sent me a photo I could be of better help with your failure to thrive succulents. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
