I divided my irises in the fall. can I keep the irises over the winter?

Yes. You can store uprooted iris corms or bulbs in a cool, dry spot over the winter. The corms or roots should be kept just slightly moist. I suggest a bucket half full of moist soil. Set the iris roots half buried into the soil and store in a cool, dark shed or garage over winter. Plant into the new location in spring. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
