Marianne's Response
Is my tree ok?
I have a maple that was planted in January of 2021. It looked great last year but seems to have a lot of dead branches now . There is new growth but I am worried that it is dying. Is there anything that I can do to help it? It is a beautiful statement at the corner of the house and would hate to lose it. Thank you!

I am optimistic that your maple tree will be just fine. Those dead branches can be cut out now and the healthy new growth will take over. It looks like winter die back which sometimes happens after a transplant when new tree is still getting settled in and is hit by a cold winter. The tree will fill in once the dead branches are removed. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
