Curling leaves on roses

What is causing my knockout rose’s leaves to curl?

Marianne's Response

Curling leaves on roses can be caused by many things. Dry soil or root damage from a mole or vole is the most common. An insect called a stem borer can also drill into the stem of a rose and cut off the supply of water causing the tips of that branch to curl. If all the leaves are curling you are in trouble as the rose is not able to absorb water. Is this a newly planted rose? Sometimes herbicide spray can drift onto plants and damage their ability to take up water. Perhaps if you send a photo I can make a more accurate diagnosis. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
