JASMINE Yellow Leaves

I have an ASIAN SNOW JASMINE 6 months old in 10 gal pot outdoors. About 3 feet tall. The INNER LEAVES are starting to turn yellow. Rest of plant seems OK and blooming. What should I do? I am in southwest FLORIDA.

The clue here is that the jasmine is in a pot and my best guess is that a nutrient deficiency could be causing the inner leaves to turn yellow. Most often a lack of potassium which is common in potted plants. I suggest you feed with a balanced plant food like Osmocote to make sure the potted plant gets all the nutrients it needs. Another cause of yellow leaves is poor drainage or too much water. Make sure the pot drains well and is not sitting in a saucer of drainage water. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
