Marianne's Response
Jean15136’s Question
I live in PA and need to cover my hydrangeas to keep them from freezing during the winter. They run against the front of my house so I want the covering to look decent. What do you recommend.

Marianne's Response
I am a bit too practical to recommend covering hydrangeas next to the house because there is nothing that will look decent - burlap or cloth is needed so the plants can get air circulation. Instead I recommend planting the new more winter hardy hydrangeas that flower on both old and new wood. These are called 'Endless Summer' hydrangeas. They come in several varieties and are at local nurseries in your area. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
