I suspect you have a foam pot. It is a mix of plastic fibers and air molded into a form to look like terra cotta or ceramic. The nice thing is that these pots are light weight and can be painted with spray paint to renew them. But, they do hold moisture so make sure there is a large drainage hole in the bottom. I like to use a drill and make any drainage hole even larger and then add a few more drainage holes, just to be sure the water will drain quickly from the pot. I also like to paint these pots with flat black paint as they look like iron or metal pots. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
