Why aren’t my beans sprouting?
We planted 5 rows of beans and after 16 days no beans have sprouted nor are any to be found when we dig into the rows. What has happened?

My best guess is voles or field mice or a very smart crow. Replant and this time cover the seeds with wire mesh or even a board until they germinate. This will keep out the crows. A mouse trap set nearby and baited with peanut butter will tell you if mice are the thief. Good luck, Marianne Binetti
