Marianne's Response
Brown patch in the lawn
I desperately need to know whether brown patch in the lawn is soil borne or air borne. And I assume that getting it on your shoes and lawn mower when moving over the infected grass will transfer the “illness” to other places. After spending thousands of dollars for a new back yard, the new grass was immediately infected. I am certain the disease is in the delivered soil. Thank you.

Marianne's Response
Wish I could say for sure but without actually inspecting the grass blades I do not know if you have red thread or snow mold (fungal diseases) or perhaps just voles or mice. Brown patches could also be from clay soil or dogs. I suggest you take a sample to your local nursery as they will know if there is a soil borne disease in your area. Good luck and let us know what you find out. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
