Marianne's Response
Damaged wisteria plants
I have two young wisteria in large boxes. About 2 weeks ago the leaves on the 2 year old started turning yellow, curling up, shriveling, then falling off. I tried lady bugs in case it was aphids, though I didn’t see any. Then later I sprayed it with NEEM oil in case it was mildew or anything else. I did not see any mildew. The trunk and the green offshoots were not dried, just the leaves. The amount of leaves falling off has slowed down, but it is too soon to tell if it has stopped. The other wisteria is perfectly fine and thriving. Any ideas on what caused this?

Sounds like it could be a root problem such as the soil in the box dried out or was hit by hot sun. It does not sound like an insect or disease. Because the trunk and offsets are not dried, I am confident the wisteria will recover. Keep the soil moist but with good drainage and new roots will form.
Keep growing,
