Kalanchoe Not Flowering

When I first got this Kalanchoe it came with pink flowers on it. When those died the stems died with it. For a little while it was a green “base” so to speak until it started growing stems and leafs. I’ve had this Kalanchoe for about a year and a half now and it’s still just stems and leafs. Should I cut the stems shorter (it’s becoming pretty tall) and what should I do to make it bloom? Why isn’t it blooming? Please help

I love Kalanchoe and grow it in my own garden but this is a sun loving plant and does not bloom well for a second time indoors. It likes warm temperatures and lots of light.  You can cut back the tall branches by at least two thirds and it will be more bushy but to get it to flower again you may need to move it outdoors to a warm and sunny spot or grow it in a sun room with lots of bright light. It is a succulent so allow it to dry out a bit between watering. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
