Marianne's Response
Can I put Osmocote on vegetables?
I accidentally used the indoor/outdoor product when I potted tomato and cucumber. Will they be okay to eat? Saw the “ruminate animal” warning. A suggestion: should clearly label “not for veggies” !

There is definitely no danger if you use the different forms of Osmocote on veggies or flowers. Your potted tomato and cucumber will respond just as well. Both formulas have the important NPK (the three most essential plant nutrients) that plants need but the ratio of these three are just a bit different as veggies need a bit less nitrogen. To keep things simple I use the Indoor/Outdoor formula on my own potted tomatoes with great results. You have nothing to worry about. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
