Marianne's Response

It could be a small green worm, a June bug or slugs  so I suggest you go out at night with a flashlight to try and catch the guilty party in the act.  Handpicking the culprit is the most effective way to stop more bud damage. Delphiniums are so attractive that pests love them as much as we do. Spraying with an insecticidal soap is another idea if you cannot find the bud chomper. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
