Marianne's Response

karmintedder’s Question

I was given a lemon cypress plant and the leaves are brittle and the roots don’t look healthy either except a few. Is there a chance it will make a come back or is it a throw away?

Marianne's Response

I vote to toss that lemon cypress into the compost pile. This tender evergreen is often damaged by cold winter winds and once the foliage is brown it will not turn green again. Life is too short to put up with ugly plants. We all need more compost. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
