So the food is there but the plant cannot unlock the door to receive the delivery. This is why fertilizers made for acid loving plants are more effective. They help to unlock the door. Now if you live in a place with a lot of rain you most likely have acid soil as it\'s natural state. Then this is not so much of a consideration.
