DIY frame for vine plants
This question is in reference to your post on Lowe’s website http://www.lowes.com/creative-ideas/gardening-and-outdoor/regions/northwest/microfarming/article
I really love this corner and would like to adapt it to my deck. I can build the planter boxes and frame with no problem but need clarification on the what looks like wire for vine plants. Is it a A-frame set-up like one would use for cucumbers, or just a textured rope that plants will attach to?
Thanking you in advance,
Katiera

Congratulations on finding the blog I write about creative gardening ideas. The photo you mention is using string for the sweet peas to climb on and there is also an \"A\" frame that uses a webbing made of fish line for the cucumbers to sprawl on. You can also use twine, metal hog fencing or even chicken wire as plant support material. If you live in a very hot climate than go with string or twine as the metal can heat up and plants like peas and sweet peas prefer a cool soil and cool weather. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
