Marianne's Response

Seed happy

I dumped all the seeds from the packet into one small paper type container. Leaves are growing already. Was I supposed to put one seed per pot? Oops. Can I salvage this? Thank you

Marianne's Response

No worries your seedlings can be pulled apart and move to their own little pots. Get the soil moist then use a plastic fork to gently separate the tiny plants and move to their own small pot or space them out in a larger container. How far apart depends on what type of seeds you are growing. If you can find the seed pack it will tell you the best spacing for the seedlings. If you must guess, try spacing the seedlings at least one inch apart from one another unless they each have their own small peat pot. We all learn from our mistakes but gardeners keep growing from theirs. Keep Growing, Marianne Binetti
