When to plant potatoes in Zone 8A
I recently moved to Winlock, WA from Denver, CO. Whew – what a change for a habitual gardener. Winlock is considered zone 8A. When can potatoes be planted – both Russet and Yukon Golds. Thanks and I’ll probably have a lot more questions in the future!

Potatoes can go into the ground mid-spring or when you see tulips in bloom. Welcome to gardening in Colorado and for more tips and planting times check out the local garden columnists and extension agents from your state. Colorado has very cold winters and hot summers - a challenge but still a great place to keep growing.
