Growing an indoor garden under grow lights
I moved to Alaska two years ago and still listen to ciscoes podcasts. Just listened to you fill in in last week. My question is, I live in an apartment building facing the east and have no deck. Electricity comes with my rent so I was wondering what kind of indoor growing light you could recommend for me to use for a babaco papaya, lettuce, and a tomato that I am going to hand pollinate. Thank you so much!

Good for you that you continue to garden up north. I suggest you use what we call a \"Gro-light\" as this has all the spectrums of light that plants need. You should be able to find this type of plant light at an indoor plant shop. Tomatoes do need a lot of heat units as well as sunlight and they may be difficult to grow under lights. Leaf crops like lettuce and some herbs should be the easiest to grow under lights.
Keep growing,
