Advise on planting gifted seeds

A friend gave me some seeds and I don’t know how to plant them please help, tell me where, and when, also how often to water? They are cleomes, ornamental chive, four o’clocks, moon flower, baby’s breath, poppies, and cosmos.

The flowers you mentioned all like a sunny location in soil that drains well. You can also plant them in pots of potting soil. Loosen the soil then cover the seeds with a fine layer of soil and pat the soil over the seeds with your hand. Do not plant too deep. Just barely cover the seeds. In general plant them 3 times the thickness of the seed. Tiny seeds get less soil on top. Water gently and keep the soil moist. Some seeds take two or three weeks to sprout. Keep the weeds out and you' ll have a lovely flower garden by the end of summer. For more info check out the how-to videos on this website. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
