Best plants for zone 8

Please recommend plants with nice year-around foliage for zone 8. Trying to disguise ugly utility fixture that is approximately three foot square in a partially shaded area.

In partial shade you can enjoy broad leaf evergreens such as rhododendrons, especially the compact Yak varieties as well as Fastia japonica and Acuba, both with broad tropical-looking foliage. Evergreens such as yews and boxwood can also be trimmed into boxy shapes to hide fixtures. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
