Best time to transplant daffodils in the Northeast

When can I transplant daffodils in Massachusetts, zone 6?

Marianne's Response

Daffodils are dormant when their foliage turns yellow and it is easy to pull from the bulb. This is usually in early to mid summer. At this time you can dig the bulbs and store them in a cool dry spot until fall when they can be replanted in a new location. Daffodils and most other spring blooming bulbs prefer a location where they will not be watered during the summer months. I see a host of yellow daffodils in your future.
