Ametrine’s Update on the Lemon Balm and Stevia

Hi Marianne, I asked about why my Lemon Balm and Stevia were acting like vines a couple of months ago. You answered and suggested I let you know how they are doing. The Lemon Balm didn’t survive. My dad had suffered multiple small strokes at the end of January, and the day after Valentine’s Day he began the process of dying. He crossed over the following day, the 16th. In the course of being with him and then my five siblings being in town I wasn’t able to water it as much as it needed. So, I bought a new one from a nursery and am starting over.

No, tears for my dad, mom had passed eight years ago. They were married for 63 years. Dad just wanted to be back with the love of his life. I’m happy for my dad as he’s back with my mom and his family who had transitioned before he did.

My Stevia is hanging on, I just cut it way back and will be fertilizing it soon. I just watered it yesterday so it needs a chance to dry out first.
OK, well, that’s the update! My garden is planted and Spring is underway! 😀
