Transplanting white lilac plants
Hi,
My late husband planted this plant that has white flowers about 4 years ago. What is the name of this plant, and when is a good time to dig it up and replant it in a different place in my garden? Right now it’s in full sun and about 9 feet tall. I am hoping to be able to move it soon so we could have the flowers again come spring.
I live in Kent, WA. Thanks so much.

The shrub in the photo looks like a white lilac plant, and it can be transplanted or moved in the late fall or early spring, but not when the ground is frozen. Lilacs do well in full sun with good air circulation, and do better when not up close to a house. You should still enjoy some blooms with their great fragrance in the spring.
