lindabf’s Question

During the growing season my tomatoes had no disease problems. As they aged out in October & November, the grey fuzzy stuff began growing. As I picked the last of the tomatoes, it would blow around the garden & as I pulled plants, much fell to the ground. How do I protect any problems next year? Yes, I rotate planting spots as much as I can.
Thank you.

A mulch on top of the soil this fall may help to seal in those mold spores but there is no guarantee that the molds won't blow in next fall. Keeping the tomato foliage dry is good way to prevent leaf blight disease. Some gardeners build plastic cages on top of the plants to keep the foliage dry. Good luck, Marianne Binetti
