Marianne's Response

lindadike’s Question

I purchased a Raspberry Shortcake plant earlier this spring from my local nursery. I planted it in a pot and placed it on my deck. It has grown to be fairly large but no signs of any blooms. It gets about six hours of direct sun and I’m wondering if that is not enough. I have given it Miracle Grow a couple times and planted it in Miracle Grow potting soil.

Marianne's Response

I think it just needs more time. Often raspberries take two years to flower - something I know is left off of the growing tag. Perhaps if you set an empty jam jar nearby it would take the hint. I think you doing everything right - Raspberry Shortcake is just gathering strength. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
