Marianne's Response
lindadike’s Question
I have three cyclamen that I planted in pots on my somewhat covered front porch on the north side last week. With the anticipated cold front approaching I was wondering if I put sheets over them do you think they will be ok. My husband wants to move them to the garage but they are really big pots and very heavy. Your suggestion….

Marianne's Response
This is risky business as nobody knows for sure how cold it will get. I would add the extra insulation of bubble wrap around the pots and draped on top of the sheets to help protect the cyclamens. Don't cover the tops of the plants tightly as they need some air circulation. I have found that duct tape works to keep the bubble wrap in place when wrapped around the pots. Be sure to remove all this once the temps return to above freezing. Keep growing and Keep warm, Marianne Binetti
