Marianne's Response

lmgardener’s Question

I have lost the article you wrote about small stature trees for the garden. It included some very nice small maples. Would your post these selections for me? Thank you!

Marianne's Response

Small trees are great accents for any landscape and the varieties I wrote about were the Variegated Box Elder (Acer negundo 'Variegatum') the hard working Japanese 'Blood Good' maple and any of the grafted or weeping maples. I also love the winter color of the coral bark maples. Enjoy exploring these options and remember that once you decide, winter is a good time to place your order for a specific tree with your local nursery. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
