Sorry to say I have never been to Arkansas and don't feel comfortable recommending grass for your climate. I do know a shortcut to finding out this information. Either contact your local Extension Agency (free gardening info abounds from Master Gardener) or just knock on the door of a neighbor with a great looking lawn.
