How to identify Transdescantia

Can you please help me identify this plant? It has long, grass like leaves that grow out of the top of a stem. A purple flower grows where the leaves and stems meet. The plant itself resembles a Spiderwort, but the flower resembles a lily (not the cone shaped flowers, the flatter looking flowers). Thank you for your help!

Looks like a form of Transdescantia which is the same family of Spiderwort and the houseplant Wandering Jew. There are many varieties and some hybrids and the one you have is lovely. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
