Arranging a floral display with echinacea, impatiens, aquilegia, and lavender
I am ready to plant some plugs. Could you please suggest a planting combination for the following? 18 Impatiens New Guinea Super Sonic Red 08, 36 Aquilegia x hybrida Origami Red & White, 36 Lavandula angustifolia Ellagance Pink, and 36 Echinacea purpurea Pow Wow White. Thank you in advance.

When arranging plants for a floral display, think about how the teacher arranged a class for a group photo shoot: tallest kids in the back row (that would be the Echinacea) and the shortest kids in the front (the Impatiens) with the mid sized Aquilegia and lavender in the middle. You can arrange the plus in rows for a formal look or let the shape be free flowing with drifts of color for a casual, more relaxed spread. When it comes to colors combos I think the white will be the dominate color and this will cool off the reds so anyway you position the color combos will create a beautiful summer garden. Get your camera ready and be sure to share a photo of this garden with all of us at Planters Place. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
