Why aren’t my oleander bushes reblooming?
I have 6 oleander bushes that are 1 1/2 years old. They bloomed beautifully when I purchased them at the nursery, however they have not rebloomed yet. They are deep dark green in color and growing.
I purchased Osmocote flower and vegetable in hopes that it will help my oleanders bloom. I do not know if I need to break the soil and mix in the plant food or not. I’m very very new to this.
Thank you Mary Stanford

I think you are doing a great job because you are smart enough to ask questions. I agree you should fertilize your oleander bushes and to help the Osmocote fertilizer get to the roots quickly you should sprinkle the product following the instructions and then work it into the soil a bit by using a trowel or fork-like tool to disturb the surface of the soil. Do not go so deep as to damage the shrub roots. Water in the fertilizer after you apply. It is nice to hear that the shrubs are dark green and growing - they sound healthy. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
