Marianne's Response

It is best to plant spring blooming bulbs like tulips in the fall, but in your warm climate put the bulbs in a paper bag and chill them for six weeks starting in September, then plant the bulbs in the ground. This will fool them into thinking they have been through a cold winter. Another idea is to wait until spring and purchase already sprouted tulips, sometimes already potted up as well, and bring them home to enjoy. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
