Marianne's Response

If the water froze on a plant in my greenhouse, is it dead?

I have two pitcher plants that I left in the greenhouse. Their water froze and now they are looking sorta dead. Am I suppose to trim them back in the winter? What can I do to help revive them?

Just wait. Winter damage is hard to diagnose until spring or even early summer. Don't trim back winter damaged plants until you see new growth emerging or until all danger of frost is passed. Sometimes top growth is frozen but the roots will be fine and in May you could see new foliage. This is your cue to trim away all black and damaged sections of the plant.
