mdumaine’s Question
I bought a Sarracenia leucophylla ‘Tarnok’ White Top Pitcher Plant. I’m not sure how to re-pot this. What can I do with this plant? Thank you

First, are you sure it needs repotting? If you don't see roots coming from the drainage hole and if the water does not run immediately out of the pot from too many roots than your plant may be happy for years in the same pot. If you know it needs more room or after a few years if you want to freshen the soil just water the plant well, then turn it upside down and rap the rim of the pot on a ledge. The plant will slide out roots and all. Repot in a container just a few inches larger than the original pot using a potting soil that contains fertilizer or add slow release Osmocote plant food to the soil when you repot. I think your thumb is turning greener by the minute - may you and your plant have many happy years together. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
