mdumaine’s Question
Hi, I live in Auburn WA and purchased some asparagus roots from hardware store. How long will they survive without planting?

Marianne's Response
If you keep the roots moist and dark they should survive for another month or so. The roots go dormant in the winter so for 6 months they are resting. Once we get into the summer season the energy storage begins to deplete as nature knows it is time to grow. You can always pot them up if your ground is not yet ready for planting. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
