can osmacote be use for African violets? thanks

Yes, Osmocote in an all purpose slow release plant food and houseplants do well when nutrients are released slowly into the soil. African violets will bloom for months but then like all flowering plants they will take break from flowering. After a rest of a month or two your African violets will make more buds as long as they have fertilizer available. One more growing tip for your violets - don't get the leaves wet when you water as this can leave spots. Also, don't let the pots sit in standing water for longer than a few hours.
