Mealy bug eradication from the African violet
AV leaves don’t like to get wet. All methods of MB removal say do just that. I think they arrived from a succulent, now removed.
Alcohol, dawn? I’ve had this AV for a long time and don’t want to abuse it, just nurture and return to health.
Thoughts?

The best way to kill mealy bugs (small white fuzzy critters usually in the leaf joints and often found on succulents) is to dip a cotton swab in rubbing alcohol and touch each critter so that it dries out the cottony covering on the sucking insect. Then repeat in a few weeks when the eggs hatch. Keep growing, Marianne Binetti
