Well, the joke is on ME. What I was told are Pinks are NOT, according to your response. So the “pinks” I have are like a groundcover with spikey leaves and pink balls of tiny flower balls that poke up out of them. I guess I need to know what they really ARE now! sheesh – red face.

I recognize that plant - you had me at tiny pink flower balls. Sounds just like Sea Thrift or Armeria. Cut off the flowers when they fade and they may rebloom. This perennial needs good drainage and likes dry soil so great for rockeries or near the sea. Don\'t divide the plants until you start to see brown bare spots at the base of the clumps. Lots of plants have the same or similar common names so we all experience mistaken identity. That\'s why the Botanical name is often used by horticulturists. Or just send a photo of a mystery plant.
