Taking cuttings from your dracaena to make new plants is easy. Just cut off a branch from 6 to 18 inches long and remove any leaves from the lower half of the stem. Place this cutting into a glass of water for several weeks until you see roots form on the bottom half of the stem. Once the roots are about an inch long carefully plant the rooted cutting into potting soil and keep the plant in the shade and the soil moist for a few months while it builds a new root system.
